Anthony Eddy has done it again; "God Speaks in Letters of Eternity", the fifth in the preacher's "God Speaks" series of poetry, is a masterpiece worthy of the centuries. It definitely deserves a place in any believer's ebook library.
Once again presented as a series of missives presented by the Lord to his fictional prophet, sharing the name of the author, this book focuses on the relationship of Jesus Christ to His people. I was particularly inspired by "The Inside of the Eyelids", the fifth of fifty-seven poems, which shed light on God's plan through the use of a rarely-employed metaphor. Kudos, Eddy, for thinking outside the box.
A common feature of Eddy's writing is word repetition. For example, most of his poems begin with the same repeated word or phrase which is generally also the title of the poem, and I find that this works very well in a lyrical sense. This isn't always the case, of course, and those breaks from the pattern only serve to illuminate Eddy's unique and pleasing writing style.
In conclusion, I would gladly purchase "God Speaks in Letters of Eternity", and recommend it to anyone.

This book is for a patient reader. You need to read it slowly and digest each and every sentence to understand and realize its meaning and to enjoy the message. The book deals mostly with everyday traditional subjects. Subjects which are found in the traditional scriptures, so there is nothing "new" about the message, however it acts as a reminder and a guide on how to lead one's life. It may all sound that simple, but every once in a while you need to remind yourself of this principal.
The Author goes through great lengths to explain it all in a very elaborate manner. It would be nice if it touched on modern, present day subjects , such as homosexuals, gay marriages and celibacy. For example, is it okay to be a nice guy with ethics and morals but not believe in God? What happens to the soul of the person when he dies or what is this"Day of Judgement"? Who judges and on what criteria is the judgement based?
However the book is tailored and addresses a person of Christian faith as all references are to the God of Abraham and Christ, son of God. To a non-Christan reader with no religious affiliation, it is an interesting reading and expands his imagination on how one subject can be extended into different angles. Even for a person of faith who is not a Christian it broadens his scope in the vast kaleidoscope of different views: all on the same Universal Truth.
This is a great book for person thirsty for knowledge, not your everyday Joe!

This is a very nice and entertaining collection of writings. They read like poems, even if they weren't precisely intended as such. "The Decorating of the Heavens" is noteworthy for its almost science fiction feel, and "The Sky Signs of God" and its comparing of auroras and other sky phenomena to the rainbow in Christian significance is striking. A lot of this collection conveys a sense of wonder at ordinary things.
The formatting does create some issues with readability. Left-justifying everything might make the text easier to read and follow, but the author might be trying for a specific visual effect with the current layout. Ellipses and dashes are seriously overused, and I would recommend cutting way back on them. There are also a few homophone substitutions and misspellings (most notably "born" vs."borne" and "breath" vs."breathe"). It looks like "disciples" and "discipline" got confused a few times as well.
The author's biography at the end could also benefit from some rephrasing and changes to sentence structure.
Is all the information at the start of the book really necessary? Readability level is a nice extra to list, and knowing the word count is necessary in order to submit a manuscript to a publisher, but some of the rest of the information listed isn't needed (unless it's customary for books published in New Zealand to have it).
Overall, this book is an interesting read. Its intended readership is definitely a niche market, but there are small Christian presses who would be willing to consider it.

Like others have said, this book is for patient readers who want to learn. But the way it's laid out (format), I think it appeals to people who aren't very patient, so well done on that.
I like how the book is separated into sections, and how consistent it is throughout. One thing though, it describes what the thing that is happening or will happen will look like or be, but it doesn't say what it actually is, so people might be confused about that.
Also, where are the contents? I noticed in the other books in this series that they had (very long) contents pages. But this one doesn't have one. You may just have forgotten to add one in, but I think it'll be of great use if you put one in.
The description is beautiful; it is mainly made up of metaphors and short sentences in a poetic form, which is quite different from other religious books. This will appeal to others; it's a very original idea.
There's a lot of repetitiveness in this book (and the others in the series), but I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. It can help place an image in the reader's head and keep it there, but too much repetitiveness can be a bad thing.
I would buy this book if I wanted to expand my knowledge on Christianity, and I would definitely recommend it to people who want to do the same thing and don't feel like spending a lot of money on massive, difficult to read books.

This book was much like reading a poem, or even parts of the bible itself. The book has an abundance of information about Jesus and the love he has to offer you. This is about God's purpose for us, not about man's purpose for man.
God speaks to us in many different ways and this book is one of those amazing and unique ways God shows his love. You will need patience and an open heart to read this book. It's so full of God's word, and amazing poetry that any religious, or even non religious people, will find the true beauty inside.
What an amazing and beautiful way for God to express his love for man. The poem like book also goes into detail of how Satan is full of evil and to ignore his cries and stay on God's side. This book even includes God's end of time prophecy. God has said in the bible that he will destroy the world and there is a poem that I felt shows the beauty in God cleansing the Earth of all evil. It's an amazing concept that God wants us to live in such harmony that he would go to such extents to make this possible for us.
Read this book to understand the message that Jesus is there for you to love him, and for him to love you back. His love is eternal and will never falter. He will forgive you and take the evil out of your soul and replace it with love.
I gladly give this book 5/5 because you can't dock points for Jesus.

I loved the little explanation on the first page about the cover image. The contents page was very helpful for me and I imagine it would be even more helpful in a print version if someone were in need of wisdom on a specific topic.
I came to this book as an agnostic person interested in the study of spirituality in general, including christianity. So my views are definitely coming from an academic point, not someone who is a believer in any religion. I can only imagine that someone who IS already a believer might potentially be offended by the idea offered in the introduction that the author is writing as god dictates.
I would usually class myself as a fast reader when I read for pleasure. This book was not fast for me to read. If I read at my usual speed, I felt like I was missing nuances that might be important. This appears to be a book meant for serious study, not one someone would read for pure pleasure. For someone who reads as someone reading a myth or children’s tale, not taking it as literal truth as intended but instead searching for deeper meaning behind the words, this book is intriguing to study. I found myself reading some of the poems multiple times and I believe some of the poems may contain stuff that is True universally rather than specific religion things.
Despite not being a fast and fun read, the book does seem to make the study of theology accessible to the masses as long as they’re patient readers. It’s much easier to read this than a bible.

I had read books by Mr. Eddy before and this one follows the pattern of the others. He is very consistent with his books and their contents. The sections have clear divisions, so the reader will not be lost even when they decide to stop reading and pick it up again at another time.
I always did enjoy how the author uses the poetry format for his books. It makes it extremely easy to read, and although it does contain a few things that are repeated constantly, the author does say this in the beginning, on the Index.
The book is definitely not for everybody, it takes a lot of time to go through it and as I had already mentioned, a fair bit of repetitiveness. But it is inspiring in the sense that every passage you read contains a great deal of positivity, and sometimes when you read things like this and it gets repeated, it ends up being instilled in your memory even better.
Throughout the book, some readers might be confused by who the author means by “My People” and “My Spirit”. If this turns out to be the case for you, just keep reading because eventually the understanding will come. The book talks about “eyelids” and “veins and arteries” of man in a spiritual sense, and it is important for the reader to understand that and grasp the proper context.
Overall the book is enjoyable to read, it is motivational and spiritually inspirational! Kudos once again to Mr. Eddy!
