The Arrows of The Bowman (10.9.11)

“The bow of The Lord has arrows which can speak,

                                     has arrows which can testify,

has arrows fitted with the warhead of the tongue.

The bow of The Lord has arrows not loosed to maim,

has arrows not loosed to kill,

has arrows not loosed to bring the target down.

The bow of The Lord has a quiver which is empty,

                                          a quiver which awaits selection,

a quiver which awaits for an arrow proved to be true in flight.

The quiver of the bow accepts arrows of any length,

                                    accepts arrows of any girth,

                                    accepts arrows of any colour.

The quiver of the bow holds an arrow without complaint,

holds an arrow until it is needed,

holds an arrow until it is plucked and shot.

The quiver of the bow encircles and constrains,

guards the arrows deemed as true,

dresses each arrow with a blessing prior to its release.

Each arrow of the bow is a missive with a message,

is without a barb that buries in the flesh,

is as a two-edged sword in its effect.

Each arrow of the bow follows in the wake of the rider on the white horse,

follows in the wake of the call to service,

follows in the wake of the mounting of a steed,

follows in the wake of righteousness personified,

follows in the wake of the oversight of God.

Each arrow of the bow is released upon command,

is set to attend at a divine appointment,

is prepared to carry and to follow the tasking of the day.

Each arrow of the bow is empowered by supreme authority,

is equipped with gifts as needed,

is established as an envoy on a mission,

is pointed in a direction aimed at a known address,

is always under guidance to the target,

is enabled to transmit the results of flight.

Each arrow of the bow is recovered,

                                     is mended for a dent,

is accepted for a further flight as a willing volunteer.

Each arrow of the bow sings a song of joy as it travels on its journey,

shouts with exuberance as it meets its target,

sings a song of victory as it is reclaimed to remount upon a steed.

Each arrow of the bow experiences the confidence of the bowman,

experiences the honouring of the message entrusted for delivery,

experiences the effect of change as the message did proclaim,

                                                                         as the word foretold,

as the arrow delivered with boldness and with faith.”
