The Battlements of The Mind (28.10.08)

"The battlements of the mind protect or expose the spirit and the soul.

The battlements of the mind stand or fall according to the wisdom available within.

The battlements of the mind must withstand the storming of the mind.

The battlements of the mind must repel the onslaught of invaders.

The battlements of the mind must be prepared to fight.

The battlements of the mind can conquer with the Word,

                                              can conquer by decree,

                                              can conquer in the Name above all Names.

The battlements of the mind can deflect missiles with the shield of faith.

The battlements of the mind can surmount intrusions,

                                              can surmount attacks,

                                              can surmount the probings of the soul.

        The probings of the soul can undermine the battlements.

        The probings of the soul can collapse the battlements.

        The probings of the soul,

                                            when unchecked,

                                                                   can bring down the defences of the mind.

        The probings of the soul lay bare the weaknesses of the soul.

        Man should not permit a full assault on or by the weaknesses of the soul.

                 For a full assault extends the battle plan of the foe to include the spirit.

The capture of the soul concerns the spirit.

The capture of the soul cannot occur without the concurrence of the agency of man.

The capture of the soul brings prevarication to the knowledge of the spirit.

The capture of the soul leads to the appellate call of the spirit.

The capture of the soul brings tribulation to the fore within the life of man.

The seeking of redemption is oft delayed for those with captured souls.

Redemption is freely offered within the age of Grace.

Redemption is the Gift of God that brings salvation to the spirit and renewal to the body and the soul.

Man should not delay the attainment of his salvation.

Man does not know when the grave will call.

Salvation must be attained by man prior to the filling of his grave.

       The foe of man invites delay to every captured soul that the attainment of salvation may be then curtailed by the                                                                                                                                                           filling of the grave.

Fortify the battlements of the mind with wisdom!

Strengthen the battlements of the mind with intent that will not falter!

Renew the battlements of the mind:

                                               remove the weaknesses of the soul!

Protect the battlements of the mind with a shield placed firmly before the soul.

Enlarge the battlements of the mind with the counsel of The Spirit.

Inspect the battlements of the mind:

                                               that all may be in order.

Defend the battlements of the mind –

                                  with all the weapons made available –

                                             that the soul is not misled,

                                                                  does not succumb:

                  but rather stands in honour with the spirit in thwarting all activities of the foe of man.

       The foe of man comes in many guises.

       The foe of man comes one step at a time.

       The foe of man comes to capture the soul.

       The foe of man comes to corrupt the body and the soul.

       The foe of man comes to subvert the plan of God.

The capture of the soul is marked within a book.

The capture of the soul results in the seduction of the body and the soul.

The seduction of the soul impacts on the lifestyle of the body,

                                                       on the testimony of the spirit,

                                                       on the defences of the mind.

The seduction of the soul impacts on the attitude:

                                                                       to life;

                                                                       to relationships;

                                                                       to the marriage covenant;

                                                                       to the truthfulness;

                                                                       and so the destiny,

                                                                                     of man.

The seduction of the soul impacts on the dignity,

                                                            the honour,

                                                            the freewill of man.

Man should not invite the foe into the soul of man!

Man should not suffer the foe of man within the soul!

Man should not condone the weaknesses of the soul!

Man should not permit man’s destiny to be determined by the weaknesses of man’s soul.

Man should prohibit and abjure the probings of the soul!

       For the probings of the soul can be determined through the discernment of the spirit.

Man should be attentive to the voice of his spirit that speaks within his conscience.

Man should listen,

                    hear and act upon the guidance of his conscience as it is developed by the speaking of his spirit.

Man should act within his agency in denying validity and existence to the machinations arising from the probings of his soul.”
