The Divine Commentary on The Book of Ezekiel - Ch 03 (18.10.11)

Eze 3:1   Moreover He said to me, "Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel."

Divine Commentary –

“My servants do not let their food drop upon the earth,

do not let that sent to nourish them lie upon a wasteland,

do not permit the sacred to become burdened by the secular.

My servants should have an appetite for sacred fare,

should have a thirst to share the living water,

should have an urgency to be with all they have been tasked.

My servants do not revoke the root of proclamation,

                                                             the basis of a testimony,

                                                             the sharing of their faith.”

Eze 3:2   So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll.

Divine Commentary –

“My servants serve the word of God.

My servants have the highest calling available to man.

My servants are not prone to faint,

                             are not prone to weariness,

are not prone to change their coat in the middle of My river.”

Eze 3:3   And He said to me, "Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you." So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.

Divine Commentary –

“My servants feast on the fare of God.

My servants are nurtured on the fare of God.

My servants are commissioned with the fare of God laid for the fare of man.

My servants are empowered to partition the fare of God into the sips of man.

My servants are called to invoke the presence of heaven into the heart of man.

My servants keep an eye single to the glory of God.

My servants bring great honour within the fear of God.”

Eze 3:4   Then He said to me: "Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them.

Divine Commentary –

“My servants grow and develop,

                               are not static in position,

are not unstable in their outlook.

My servants are fed and watered,

My servants are clothed and sheltered,

My servants are blessed and tended.

My servants are not left alone,

are never deserted as on an island,

are never caught up with no escape.

My servants are under the close scrutiny of God,

are under the fire of My Spirit,

are under the commander of the angels,

are under the throne of God with the cherubim at large,

are under the mantle covering attached to every calling,

are under the oversight of an open heaven,

are under the counsel of My Spirit guiding within the will of God.”

Eze 3:5   "For you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, but to the house of Israel,

Eze 3:6   "not to many people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, had I sent you to them, they would have listened to you.

Eze 3:7   "But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted.

Eze 3:8   "Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their foreheads.

Eze 3:9   "Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house."

Eze 3:10   Moreover He said to me: "Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.

Eze 3:11   "And go, get to the captives, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD,' whether they hear, or whether they refuse."

Eze 3:12   Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: "Blessed is the glory of the LORD from His place!"

Eze 3:13   I also heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, and a great thunderous noise.

Eze 3:14   So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

Eze 3:15   Then I came to the captives at Tel Abib, who dwelt by the River Chebar; and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

Eze 3:16   Now it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Eze 3:17   "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:

Eze 3:18   "When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.

Eze 3:19   "Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

Eze 3:20   "Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.

Divine Commentary –

“My servants carry accountability for their ministry in My name,

carry accountability for the accuracy of a message purported as divine,

carry accountability for a tongue of rampant volubility.

My servants carry accountability for all remarks which issue when before a sacred position of authority.

My servants uphold the sanctity of callings,

the sanctity of the edifice of God,

the sanctity of the empowering of God.”

Eze 3:21   "Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul."

Divine Commentary –

“My servants deliver the accurate messages of God with the impunity granted to His messengers,

                                                                                                                    with impunity from culpability,

                                                                                                                    with impunity from recompense,

                                                                                                                    with impunity from implication.

My servants need not forestall the sin implicit in a message,

need not reiterate a message once delivered,

need not emphasize a segment in delivery of a message.

My servants should not append their interpretation to the vocabulary of God.”

Eze 3:22   Then the hand of the LORD was upon me there, and He said to me, "Arise, go out into the plain, and there I shall talk with you."

Divine Commentary –

“My servants need to have two-way communication,

                               need a relationship of honour,

need a time of holiness before the throne of God.

My servants should know the will of God,

should know the wisdom of God,

should seek and they will find.

My servants are empowered to ask,

are empowered to expect an open window,

                             are empowered to offer praise,

are empowered to worship at an altar to The Living God:

whether in the wilderness of man or in a sanctuary of God.

My servants are commissioned to impart their knowledge of the ways of God,

to impart their knowledge of the giftings of My Spirit,

to instigate the quest for the baptism of My Spirit,

to instigate the seeking of the reality of The Loving God by His children –

                                      by His children in ignorance of what is held in store for those at large outside the fold of God;

for those at ease within the fold of God.”

Eze 3:23   So I arose and went out into the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, like the glory which I saw by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face.

Eze 3:24   Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet, and spoke with me and said to me: "Go, shut yourself inside your house.

Eze 3:25   "And you, O son of man, surely they will put ropes on you and bind you with them, so that you cannot go out among them.

Eze 3:26   "I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and not be one to rebuke them, for they are a rebellious house.

Eze 3:27   "But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD.' He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.
