The Fiefdom of The Lord (22.12.08)

“The day of The Lord arises with the sun.

The day of The Lord,

        the return of The Lord,

the second coming of The Lord,

                            has long been awaited,

                            has long been expected,

has long been a recurring disappointment –

by and to the mind of man.

The mind of man has often called for rescue,

                            has often called for solace,

                            has often called in chagrin.

The mind of man has often pleaded,

                            has often given voice,

has often committed to a song.

The mind of man has often ignored the call to proclaim,

has often regarded silence as completion,

has often sought to sever the lost’s call from the found.

The mind of man has sometimes been extremely diligent,

has sometimes set off in obedience,

has sometimes reported far off success.

The mind of man has sometimes been committed unto death,

has sometimes embarked without the cost,

has sometimes been supported by faith and promises.

The mind of man has accepted a  commission,

                            has travelled extended distances,

has passed a lifetime in the lands of the lost.

All has been recorded –

                               both action and reaction.

All has been appraised –

                               the level of attainment.

All has been rewarded –

                               according to disclosure.

All was,

      all is,

      all will be,

      commemorated –

           as the teacher taught –

           as the disciple lived.

The day that is awaited,

      now is.

The day that is awaited now rolls to the forefront of the stage,

                                           awaits the curtain call,

                                           awaits the fanfare of immediacy.

The day that is awaited will culminate an age.

The day that is awaited will unroll upon command.

The day that is awaited will change the lives of man.

The day that is awaited will dispense with grace,

                                      will dispense with faith,

will dispense a new beginning –

                                                                               of love,

                                                                               of justice,

                                                                               of provisioning.

The day that is awaited has need of the sanctuaries of The Lord.

The sanctuaries of The Lord are a part of the edifice of God.

The sanctuaries of The Lord are open to all who know the key –

the key of access to a sanctuary of The Lord.

The key of access cannot be lost,

                             cannot be transferred,

                             cannot be stolen,

cannot be acquired through force of arms.

Possession of the key of access is confirmed by The Spirit as access is sought.

The key of access provides shelter within a sanctuary,

                                            knowledge when distressed,

                                            protection when threatened.

The sanctuaries of The Lord defy marauding bands,

defy kings that do not honour,

                                              defy armies that wreck destruction.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will not fall.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will withstand.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will overcome.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will uphold the Kingdom of The Lord.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will grow.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will expand.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will not suffer duress at the hands of any man.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will survive dissent.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will welcome the homeless.

The sanctuaries of The Lord are respites.

The sanctuaries of The Lord are for the benefit of the sheltered.

The sanctuaries of The Lord will confirm the safety of the soul.

The sanctuaries of The Lord are precursors of the coming Kingdom.

The sanctuaries of The Lord model the coming Kingdom.

The sanctuaries of The Lord typify the coming Kingdom.

The sanctuaries of The Lord herald the coming Kingdom –

the Kingdom of The Lord –

 the Kingdom of God –

the Kingdom that will honour heads that bow to,

                                                                                                              tongues that worship,

                                                                                                              earth that acknowledges,

Jesus as The Lord of His creation –

the King seated on His throne of majesty –

the Master of all that He surveys.

The Name above all Names has come unto His own,

                                             has come into His own,

has come onto His own –

                                                                              the earth whereon He reigns.”
