The Guidance of God (12.12.08)

“The authority of man is limited within the heavens,

                                     is limited by his position,

                                     is limited by his relationship.

The authority of man is limited by belief,

                                   is limited by grace,

                                   is limited by status.

The authority of man is limited by wealth,

                                   is limited by health,

is limited by his standing before God.

The authority of man is encouraged by the foe,

                                   is encouraged by his soul,

                                   is encouraged by his ambition.

The authority of man can command respect,

                                   can command obedience,

                                   can command servility.

The authority of man can command assistance,

                                   can command relief,

can command the hand of healing.

The authority of man can command by proxy,

                                   can command under duress,

                                   can command with stress.

The authority of man can be upheld upon appeal.

The authority of man can be dismissed upon appeal.

The authority of man can be punished upon appeal.

The authority of man can be ignored.

The authority of man can be overridden.

The authority of man can be underpinned.

The authority of man can bind and loose.

The authority of man can imprison and set free.

The authority of man can punish and reward.

The authority of man can be unjust.

The authority of man can be foolishly applied.

The authority of man can usurp the power of others.

The wielding of authority calls for much restraint.

The wielding of authority improves with age.

The wielding of authority should be limited to the wise.

The wielding of authority should not be exercised in haste.

The wielding of authority causes the weak to yield.

The wielding of authority may cause a house of cards to fall.

The wielding of authority can bring nations to their knees.

The wielding of authority can cause the fall of kingdoms.

The wielding of authority can expose corruption,

                                                       can bring darkness into light,

can instigate a reign of new beginnings.

The wielding of authority can install and usher in.

The wielding of authority can capture and dismiss.

The wielding of authority can be just and done in love.

The wielding of authority can be carried out in wisdom.

The wielding of authority can support the hopes of man,

                                                                           the dreams of man,

the aspirations of man in a new beginning.

A new beginning does not always discard the old.

A new beginning can modify,

                             can repair,

                             can superimpose,

                             can renew,

                             can add,

                             can destroy.

A new beginning can bring change.

A new beginning can bring a new direction.

A new beginning can usher in an era of belief,

an era that promotes the welfare of man,

an era that speaks of the guidance of God.”
