The Portals of The Kingdom (25.8.09)

“The portals of the Kingdom have been open for man’s centuries.

The portals of the Kingdom do not close at night.

The portals of the Kingdom are accessible from great distances.

The portals of the Kingdom are not protected by portcullises.

The portals of the Kingdom are not surrounded by a moat.

The portals of the Kingdom are there for all with faith.

The portals of the Kingdom do not endanger those who enter.

The portals of the Kingdom have all been given names.

The portals of the Kingdom have defences when attacked.

The portals of the Kingdom keep darkness well at bay,

                                              glow beautifully when needed,

                                              play music on request.

The portals of the Kingdom allow the penitent to pass,

allow the righteous to travel freely,

allow the sheep who know the sheepfolds to enter to see their shepherd.

The portals of the Kingdom are very numerous,

are as difficult to count as the stars in the starry way,

The portals of the Kingdom have inviting odours wafting out,

have sights of wonder beyond the sight-lines of those who stand at portals with no intention to commit.

The portals of the Kingdom separate the carnal from the sacred.

The portals of the Kingdom separate the worldly from the holy.

The portals of the Kingdom separate the mortal from the eternal.

The portals of the Kingdom separate the seen from the unseen.

The portals of the Kingdom will handle all requests.

The portals of the Kingdom know the rights of entry,

                                              protect them with great care,

never are the cause of a complaint.

The portals of the Kingdom do not know decay.

The portals of the Kingdom have agents far and wide,

                                              have ambassadors at large,

have negotiators who do not compromise the status of the Kingdom.

The portals of the Kingdom send out scouts to investigate receptions,

                                                                       to report their findings back,

to receive counsel in discussions of their further actions.

The portals of the Kingdom know the location of each command post in the wilderness,

                                              know the facilities contained therein,

know the resources that have been supplied,

know the fruitfulness of all the expended effort.

The portals of the Kingdom have communications in the light with each outreach in the darkness.

The portals of the Kingdom have alarms that rouse the guardians when help is requested promptly.

The portals of the Kingdom see appointees to attendance pass through on their way to births,

                                                                                                                 on their way to weddings,

on their way to the overseeing of the graves.

The portals of the Kingdom see appointees to attendance pass through on their way to washings,

on their way to divine appointments,

on their way as intercessors at the scenes of violence.

The portals of the Kingdom see appointees to attendance pass through to return with reports where opportunities were lost,

where there were rampant enemies of man,

where a promise of fulfilment fell to the ground under a stomping heel.

The portals of the Kingdom see appointees to attendance pass through with messages that will fall upon ears that cannot hear,

                                                                                                                                                                       ears that will not hear,

ears that hear yet do not comprehend the cost of postponement and delay.

The portals of the Kingdom see appointees to attendance pass through to attend to the maladies of man,

                                                                                                                                     the requests of man,

                                                                                                                                     the provisioning of man.

The portals of the Kingdom see appointees to attendance pass through on the way to evict malingerers,

to act upon a conscience when a lie has escaped the lips,

to endorse an action of divine instruction completed under stress.

The portals of the Kingdom are on foundations of the rock,

cannot be shaken by any foe,

will not fall to any ruse.

The portals of the Kingdom are in for a busy time.

The portals of the Kingdom do everything in order.

The portals of the Kingdom are constructed for inspection,

                                              never miss a spoken word,

always can determine of what each heart desires,

of what each heart does carry,

of what each heart venerates in secret,

                                                                                                                 venerates in public,

                                                                                                                 venerates by way of proclamation.”
