“The game hunters of the Earth are a selfish breed apart,
have no vision for the future,
are the strippers of the scenes,
are the bereft of thought and reason,
are not amiss to poaching a sought prize,
are not concerned with consequences,
are the targeters of the scarce and threatened,
are the bit takers seeking profit,
leave the profitless to the scavengers,
discard the mutilated to the fastest predator.
The game hunters of the Earth cover the air,
the snow in a quest of pride,
in a quest for profit,
in a quest for self-aggrandisement,
in a quest for satisfaction of the self:
which sees the carcass left in the rear to rot,
which sees the carcass butchered where it fell,
which sees the carcass presented before the market place of man –
destined as a plate of luxury,
as a curiosity exhibited in cages,
as a beast upon a leash where compassion is non-existent.
The game hunters of the Earth leave the orphans to their fate:
leave the orphans without asylum;
leave the orphans without reserve;
leave the orphans without value;
leave the orphans without recourse,
leave the orphans without protection.
The game hunters of the Earth create orphans without excuse.
The game hunters of the Earth rape and pillage that for which they do not care.
The game hunters of the Earth shout and cheer at each lop-sided victory ending in defeat.
The game hunters of the Earth know the shot and whistle,
know the bow and arrow,
know the ship and net,
know the mother ship and calf,
know the rod and line,
know the dog and knife,
know the bird and glove,
know the spear and club,
know the bird with blades and refuge in the wilderness.
The game hunters of the Earth put no constraints on limit,
are a law unto themselves,
are vigorous in their pursuit,
offer no means of escape,
pursue a quarry unto death.
The game hunters of the Earth have a history of ignominy,
have a history of waste,
have a history of greed,
have a history of disgrace,
have a history of overkill,
have a history of non-respect.
The game hunters of the Earth do not limit in preservation,
will continue unto extinction,
will watch and wait for the very last.
The game hunters of the Earth have misapplied the charter of dominion,
have misapplied the scape goat of the cull,
have misapplied the excuse of research.
The game hunters of the Earth search for the escape clause,
twist the meaning of intent,
penetrate the boundaries of exclusion,
breach the limits on a catch,
take all they can get,
are not concerned with life,
buy their way into the garnering of votes.
The game hunters of the Earth are summoned within a replevin –
both for their pickings and for being afoul of the intent of God.”
