The Banner of The Battle (16.1.09)

“The Banner of the Kingdom speaks of the battle for humanity,

                                                                the battle for each soul,

the battle that recoups what has been lost.

The Banner of the Kingdom speaks of the battle fought in the time of grace,

was fought in the time of temptation,

was fought in the time of redemption.

The Banner of the Kingdom speaks of the battle fought in the time of salvation.

The Banner of the Kingdom culminates the battles for the soul of man.

The Banner of the Kingdom culminates the battles of Redemption,

                                                                 the battles of Grace,

                                                                 the battles of Salvation.

The Banner of the Kingdom culminates in battles for all that man has at risk –

the ownership of his soul and,

                                                                                                                                                     therein,

                                                                                                                                                           his agency.

The Banner of the Kingdom is trooped as the Colours of the King.

The Banner of the Kingdom is guarded for the benefit of souls that may yet be lost.

The guardians of the Banner of the Kingdom frown on those who would fight battles under law.

The guardians of the Banner of the Kingdom know no souls were saved in the time of law when reliant on the law.

The guardians of the Banner of the Kingdom know no souls are saved in the time of grace when solely reliant on the mind

                                                                                                                                                              of reason and of intellect.

The guardians of the Banner of the Kingdom know that grace requires a seed of faith,

                                                                                                                 an act of freewill,

an act that terminates in a leap of faith.

The guardians of the Banner of the Kingdom witness the first step of faith that can be very tentative,

                                                                                                                       that can grow with confidence,

that can grow in certainty of commitment.

The guardians of the Banner of the Kingdom witness the reins put on each soul,

                                                                                      the circumspect nature of control,

the seeking of wisdom that befits a destiny.

The mind of reason and of intellect can be robbed of possession of its soul when entwined in the tendrils of evolution.

The tendrils of evolution capture the mind,

                                         entangle the mind,

constrict the paths of thought in the mind of man.

The tendrils of evolution overturn the mind when struggling to handle the implications of a single tendril.

The tendrils of evolution are not of consequence in the cell of life.

The tendrils of evolution isolate the mind of man,

                                         imprison the mind of man,

restrict alternatives to the mind of man.

The tendrils of evolution can caress,

                                         can appeal to,

                                         can snuggle up to,

                                                    the mind of man.

The mind of man dwells within the soul of man.

The mind of man when beset by tendrils loses control of the direction of his walk,

loses control of his agency of choice,

loses control through the muffling of his soul.

The Banner of the Kingdom presents queries to the mind of man.

The Banner of the Kingdom is confirmed by the free spirit of man.

The Banner of the Kingdom is defensive or offensive depending on the need.

The Banner of the Kingdom has a multitude of tasks,

                                              reveals when justified,

conceals in the absence of demand.”
