The Miracle of Christmas (15.12.08)

“The Miracle of Christmas was born in the need for reconciliation.

The Miracle of Christmas waited for a Kingdom,

                                          lived within a Kingdom,

                                          died before a kingdom.

The Miracle of Christmas was born with a Kingdom,

                                          inherits many kingdoms,

                                          reigns as the King of kings.

The Miracle of Christmas offers citizenship of His kingdoms,

                                          is seated on a throne,

                                          is attended by the courtiers.

The Miracle of Christmas understands the mind of man.

The Miracle of Christmas brought a message heard by man,

                                          brought a message seen by man,

                                          brought a message lived by man,
                                          commends the message to man,
                                          spreads a message of goodwill.

The Miracle of Christmas calls on choirs of angels,
                                          calls on angelic symphonies,

                                          calls on angelic trumpeters,

                                          calls on angelic harpists that play the harps of light.

The Miracle of Christmas presents choirs singing beyond the pitch of man,

                                                           far beyond the octaves of the voice of man,

                                                   sustaining notes until curtailed that blend in colour with the music masters’ patterns.

The Miracle of Christmas hears –

                                          sees –

                                          scents –

                                                the music of the senses being played on instruments of light.

The Miracle of Christmas watches the endeavours of man,

                                          encourages and frowns on the endeavours of man,

                                          is not surprised by the endeavours of man.

The Miracle of Christmas reaches for the children,

                                          puts one on each knee,

                                          listens with both ears to two mouths that speak at once.

The Miracle of Christmas takes note of the whispers of each mouth,

                                                                the smile upon each face,

                                                                the love within each heart.

The Miracle of Christmas revisits when requested,
                                          sends a counsellor when invited,
                                          smiles upon –

                                                     heeds –

                                                these signs of love.

The Miracle of Christmas gathers children round about for stories of a Kingdom.

The Miracle of Christmas oversees their growth,

                                          oversees their life,

                                          oversees their decisions and their choices as they wend their way back home.”
