The Divine Commentary on The Book of Revelation - Ch 19 (21.2.11)

Rev 19:1 After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honour and power belong to the Lord our God!

Divine Commentary –

“Following what goes before, 

           John hears the great multitude in heaven, 

                       the saints with their new voices, 

                                     exhorting in unison with the loudness as if from a single voice: 

                                                                      everyone to praise The Lord in the tribute due our God.”

Rev 19:2 "For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”

Divine Commentary –

“So in harmony they continue in statements of the truth, 

                                                 in acknowledging the works of God, 

                                                 in confessing the avenging on the great city for her shedding of the blood of His servants.”

Rev 19:3 Again they said, "Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!"

Divine Commentary –

“Again the call to praise goes forth as her plume of smoke forever signifies the outburst of confusion leading to the confiscation of the great city.”

Rev 19:4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, "Amen! Alleluia!"

Divine Commentary –

“And the saints before the throne together with the four sentinels fall down and worship God seated on the throne, 

            saying, 

                    ‘So be it! 

                                  We praise The Lord our God!’”

Rev 19:5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!"

Divine Commentary –

“So John hears a voice originating from the throne room, 

                                     calling to praise both His servants and all who reverence The Lord.”

Rev 19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!

Divine Commentary –

“So John hears the answering of the call to praise by the servants of God as they are joined by all who hold Him in the highest of esteem.”

Rev 19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."

Divine Commentary –

“As the call to praise continues with gladness, 

                                                   with rejoicing, 

                                                   with the giving of glory in the highest, 

                                                                        so the marriage of The Lamb presents, 

                                                                                         with the bride-to-be in readiness awaiting.”

Rev 19:8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Divine Commentary –

“As John records, 

            so the bride is dressed in her raiment, 

            so the bride is bedecked with her finery of the day, 

            so the bride is honoured as fitted in the gowns of life.”

Rev 19:9 Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."

Divine Commentary –

“So blessings are ascribed within the record, 

  so truthfulness receives its testimony.”

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

Divine Commentary –

“John is rebuked for his error of intent, 

            as he would offer worship to the semblance of The Holy Spirit. 

                                                          He who speaks, 

                                                                                     through His identity as The Spirit of Prophecy, 

                                                                                                    from within the throne room of God. 

                                                          He who brings the testimony of Jesus to the spirit of man. 

                                                          He who would have man worship none but God.”

Rev 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

Divine Commentary –

“The white horse is the going forth of justice, 

                                                         of righteousness, 

                                          and when mounted, 

                                                         places The Lion of Judah, 

                                                                                        ever Faithful, 

                                                                                        ever True, 

                                                                             in the vanguard of advance.”

Rev 19:12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.

Divine Commentary –

“His eyes are terrible to behold, 

                 are as two orbs each filled with the sun; 

          His head bears many crowns awaiting the anointing by Him as the King of kings; 

          His name, 

                       written by The Father, 

                                   awaits disclosure at a ceremony within the bounds as set by God.”

Rev 19:13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Divine Commentary –

“So His deeds are traced, 

  so He is The Son of God.”

Rev 19:14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

Divine Commentary –

“So the saints in their reward, 

                 dressed in the manner of the bride, 

                                  follow Him in going forth in justice and in righteousness: 

                                                                                       to reclaim the kingdom usurped within a lie.”

Rev 19:15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Divine Commentary –

“Out of His mouth issues the word of God, 

                        that by it are nations set upon their knees. 

                                          And He himself rules them with resolve, 

                                                                                       with justice, 

                                                                                       with righteousness: 

                                                              which no longer are deflected, 

                                                                         no longer are bent, 

                                                                         no longer are stretched, 

                                                              by the deceitful will of man. 

So He will squeeze, 

                       in His fierceness and His wrath, 

                                            the cauldron of the battle: 

                                                                 to conform unto His will of victory in the war.”

Rev 19:16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Divine Commentary –

“So His robe is emblazoned by way of proclamation, 

  so He caries forth the war-cry of The Lord.”

Rev 19:17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather together for the supper of the great God,

Divine Commentary –

“So John sees The Holy Spirit shining with the glory of God, 

                                                 who cries out in vehemence to all the scavengers of the earth to come together in attending at the feast of The Great God.”

Rev 19:18 "that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great."

Divine Commentary –

“So that they are prepared to consume, 

                                           to uplift, 

                                           to gobble up and swallow, 

                                                         the trivia of the soon-to-be-vanquished, 

                                                                        of all who participate in satanic dreams, 

                                                                        of all who chose to follow a gargoyle – 

                                                                                                                         an imprint of the devil – 

                                                                                     on a battle flag destined for a field of blood which overlays The Holy Land.”

Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.

Divine Commentary –

“So pride gathers, 

  so pride kills, 

  so pride dispenses by a measure, 

                                         disperses as a double portion is returned: 

  so pride is at the forefront of retreat; 

  so pride falls as the horse which carries vengeance stumbles, 

                                                                 as feet are placed where they have no right to be, 

                                                                                             where they have no right to do; 

  so pride derides the grief, 

                                  the mourning, 

                             at the feet of those who care.”

Rev 19:20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Divine Commentary –

“As in My book – 

‘As it is written so it is decided.  

As it is written so will the outcome be. 

As it is written so destinies are determined. 

Let it be known, 

     the deceived will be judged with justice for the records will be available: 

         those records that contain all thoughts and deeds and signs that resulted in the embedding of the mark of Satan and even idolatry within each soul that was deceived.

         The great company of false prophets shall accompany Satan into the lake of fire. 

         The lake of fire will not consume. 

         The lake of fire has extreme heat. 

         The lake of fire affects the senses of the soul and of the spirit. 

         The lake of fire with brimstone may purge a soul of intent and prejudice. 

         Failing an objection, 

         The lake of fire may bring about the redemption of those with both soul and spirit.’

As I continue here –

So the declarations stand, 

 so the vision brings knowledge of what is, 

                                  knowledge of what soon besets man who walks in darkness, 

                                  knowledge of what befalls man who struts where the light of the world remains unknown.”

Rev 19:21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Divine Commentary –

“And the rest are brought to nought by the word of God as spoken from the mouth of the rider of the white horse: 

                                             He with the inscription on the blood-dipped robe. 

                                                            So it is the scavengers are sated, 

                                                                                             as their appetites are quelled.”
