The Hand of Man (9.4.14)

“The hand of man is a marvel in construction,

                              is a marvel of design,

is a marvel not born of evolution,

is a marvel which reaches out to capture,

                                                which highly senses touch,

which displays extreme fineness of control.

The hand of man can cope easily with tools,

                            deserves a closer examination,

can find and locate without the necessity of sight.

The hand of man does not put the knuckles on the ground,

does not swing the body from a tree,

does not slurp and lap when conveying liquid to the mouth.

The hand of man expresses love and care,

                            expresses music from his instruments,

                            expresses signs to one another,

                            expresses signs to God.

The hand of man beckons and repulses,

                            encourages and ignores,

                            resolves and surrenders.

The hand of man crafts and weaves,

                            smiths and paints,

                            pots and works the stone.

The hand of man sews and stitches,

                            feeds and harvests,

                            stores and measures out.

The hand of man kindles fire for both warmth and heat.

The hand of man fights to keep,

                            fights to conquer,

                            fights when kept in servitude,

fights in longing to be free.

The hand of man builds the dreams of others;

                            washes off the mire;

mixes as he stirs the vegetables and meat.

The hand of man can deny aid to the outstretched palm,

can deny aid by pocketing a hand,

can deny aid by leaving the wherewithal of man securely in repose –

                                                                                                      as the eye averts,

                                                                                                      as the stride increases,

as the hand refuses to assist.

The hand of man reflects the actions determined by freewill.

The hand of man can stop and render aid,

can stop to uplift in love,

can stop to restore that which has been lost,

                                                                                           mislaid,

                                                                                       or stolen;

those which are seen to bring cycles of despair –

as hunger joins the missing basic needs of life.

The hand of man varies both in size and colour,

                                       both in grasp and clasp,

both in feel and texture built on history,

both in softness and in gentleness as a child presents,

both in strength and in weakness as a life progresses.

The hand of man can write and scratch,

                            can preen and smarm,

                            can clothe and dress.

The hand of man is only partially used by man,

has much scope for greater use,

can be much more satisfying to man,

needs both the will of application and the horizon of discovery.

The hand of man can serve the will of man,

can serve the will of God.

The hand of man afire with My Spirit can impart and can anoint,

                                                             can heal and can comfort,

can bless and can sign of My Spirit’s presence in both ministry and counselling.

The hand of man afire can cast man upon the floor for ministry,

can cast man upon the floor twitching with the demons,

can cast man upon the floor for resting in My peace,

can cast man upon the floor with the tongues of angels,

can cast man upon the floor with the prayers of My servants –

spoken both in wisdom and with knowledge.

The hand of man can anoint with blessings,

                            can bind and can loose,

                            can set the prisoners free:

as the authority of The Name above all names is released to bind the curses,

is released to loose the blessings.

The hand of man is the servant of the servant of The Living God:

is upheld by God through prayer,

is upheld by God through faith,

is upheld by God in righteousness,

is upheld by God in truth.

The hand of man is the adjunct of the servant of The Living God.

My servant who knows and hears and speaks My word of Knowledge.

My servant who knows My word in Wisdom and brings it so to bear.

           For I,

                   The Lord,

uphold My servants in their callings –

within My ministry in alignment with the will of God.”
