The Threshold of The Lord (21.9.12)

“The threshold of The Lord holds the welcome for My Spirit,

                                             shares the welcoming of My Spirit,

                                             has the handshake with My Spirit.

The threshold of The Lord initiates responses,

                                           appreciates the log-in of the spirit,

                                           admires the log-in of the spirit with the soul,

                                           delights in the log-in of the spirit soul and body.

The threshold of The Lord is the starting point of a royal relationship,

                                                                           of a relationship of destiny,

                                                                           of a relationship of nobility,

                                                                           of a relationship of honour and of fear.

The threshold of The Lord is not a barrier to entry,

                                           offers access to the courts of praise.

The threshold of The Lord waits afresh when the handshake of My Spirit fails to link with like,

                     fails to locate a temple in waiting for the link,

                     fails to locate a heart in the process of willing change in a dwelling filled with hope.

The threshold of The Lord does a lot of waiting,

                                            does a lot of watching,

                                            does a lot of repeating calls,

                                            does a lot of greeting first time arrivals.

The threshold of The Lord is not a choke-point of delay,

                                            has access points aplenty,

                                            has each friendly access point unique to every user,

                                            is not troubled by interference,

                                            is not troubled by crossed wires,

                                            is not troubled by a lack of speed,

                                            is not troubled by the cost of calls.

The threshold of The Lord is simple and direct,

                                           is forthright and decisive,

                                           is instructive and harmonious.

The threshold of The Lord is stable and true,

                                            is concerned and supportive,

                                            is at home and at peace.

The threshold of The Lord is fresh and revealing,

                                           is truthful and appraising,

                                           is subjective and responsive.

The threshold of The Lord knows the souls:

                                                          both the goal-led and the goalless,

                                                          both the committed and the non-committed,

                                                          both the advancing and the fallen,

                                                          both the careful and the feckless.

The threshold of The Lord cannot be breached by bravery,

                                                                            by audacity,

                                                                            by pride,

                                                                            by deceit,

                                                                            by strength.

The threshold of The Lord can be entered under the mantle of grace,

                                            can be entered under the standing before the law.

The threshold of The Lord welcomes the humble and the penitent;

                                                             the seeker of the new covenant;

                                                             the heart responsive to love;

                                                             the captive of the enemy who would escape to freedom:

                                                                                                      who knows he has to change,

                                                                                                      who is in need of a new beginning.”
