“The educating of the young falls within the mothering of the young.

The educating of the young falls within the fathering of the young.

The educating of the young falls within the family of love intent on socialising the newly welcomed spirit and the soul,

                                                                                             on ensuring the start of life on earth is in surroundings of protection,

                                                                                   on attending to the early needs of life with succouring and support.

The educating of the young starts at the instant of the birth with the breath of independence,

                                                      at the instant of presentation of a nipple readied in preparation,

                                                      at the instant of a cuddle when contentment reigns and all is well.

The educating of the young seeks to impose sense upon the senses,

                                             seeks to share in the delights of life,

                                             seeks to bring recognition to the faces placed too close to see,

                                             seeks to declare the needs when overlooked with the onset of delay.

The educating of the young is a process of step by step into the inheritance of the past,

                                                                                         into the growth within the future,

                                                                                         into the acquisition of the database of life,

                                                                                         into the inputs of each day filling all the senses in an environment –

                                                                                                                                    which keeps the attention span alive and well.

The educating of the young changes with intensity when a child can walk or run unaided,

                                                                                 when the brain has synchronized the ability to balance –

                                                                                                                                                 standing upright with intent,

                                                                 as the smile of recognition dawns upon the face in the welcoming of open arms.

The educating of the young discovers the powers of investigation,

                                                             the wonders of discovery,

                                                             the explosions due in speech.

The educating of the young deserves a nest of safety,

                                                            a nest non threatening to the young,

                                                            a nest encouraging and helpful,

                                                            a nest at rest within the fields of animals and pets.

The educating of the young builds upon the presence and the placement of the books of learning,

                                                                                                                the story books of looking and of listening:

                                                                                                    the precursor books of reading the printed page of words,

                                                                                                               of recognizing the intermingled images of interest,

                                                                                      of encountering the flashes of the intellect as understanding dawns.

The educating of the young moves in leaps and bounds as the foundations are laid to enable the flowering of progression:

                                                                                                                         the alphabet at large,

                                                                                                 the intriguing power of numbers,

                                                                     the reality of birthday celebrations with revelling and joy,

                              the instructions in morality which explain the rights and wrongs with the prospect of the lies bordering deceit,

        the approachableness of Jesus as The Son of God who knows the placing of the children at home upon His knees.

The educating of the young speak of the schooldays of the young,

                                                       of the days of learning from the teachers,

                                                       of the days of the expansion of the minds.

The educating of the young rests on the rate of assimilation of the concepts needed for maturity,

                                                                                           of the concepts previously unknown to and by the young,

                                                                                      of the concepts grasped easily with acceptance of understanding,

                                                                                 of the concepts imposed upon a frown of doubtfulness and looking ill-at-ease.

The educating of the young moves the young into the youth,

                                             moves expectations higher,

                                             moves the skill-sets to the fore,

                                             moves preferences readied for consolidation,

                                             moves understanding to a higher plane,

                                             moves the goals of parents as they speak of future plans.

The educating of the youth has progress marked by proficiency in subjects,

                                            has progress marked by willingness to be tested and examined,

                                            has progress marked by the record of the homework in the daybooks of the class.

The educating of the youth is scheduled and updated,

                                            has the layout for the lessons,

                                            has the subjects fitted both for study and for memory.

The educating of the youth impacts on the friends and relatives,

                                                         on how perception is discerned,

                                                         on how the development of the child continues along the lines of righteousness and truth. 

The educating of the youth notes the choice of sport,

                                                                       of the prowess upon the field or court or in the pool,

                                                                       of where the inclination lies,

                                                                       of where the abilities are apparent to the coach,

                                                                       of where the commitment falls with its own reward.

The educating of the youth carries on at pace,

                                            accelerates with time,

                                            spreads out upon horizons as they open to showcase their attractions.

The educating of the youth strengthens with the frame,

                                            strengthens with the build,

                                            strengthens with the glove,

                                            strengthens with the application of the effort exerted in the field of competition.

The educating of the youth varies with the size and age,

                                            varies with the encouragement to succeed,

                                            varies with the bonding with the teachers,

                                            varies with the settling on the livelihood desired,

                                            varies with the education level deemed of relevance to the attainment of the goal in life.

The educating of the youth should neither result from chance nor be dependent on a walk which is ill-prepared,

                                            affects a life of great value in the sight of God,

                                            qualifies for marvels from a soul embedded in the quest for righteousness,

                                                                                                 embedded in the discipleship from God,

                                                                                                 embedded in the reality of a close relationship with God,

                                                                                                 embedded with the forbearance to ignore the cynicism of others –

                                                                                                                                                     with a different destiny in mind –

                                                                                                                                         with different roads waiting to be walked.

The educating of the youth should impart the knowledge of the gifts of God –

                                                                                                       so the reality of God is very real and personal,

                                            should lead to the baptism of The Spirit,

                                            should lead to an awareness of the fear of God.

The educating of the youth must not just touch on the secular with its worldly ways.

The educating of the youth must affirm the ways of God with the sacrifice upon a cross;

                                            must confirm the destiny of choice and how it is attained;

                                            must confirm the morality of God and the advantages accruing –

                                                                                                                            as such is actioned within a life.

The educating of the youth should not breed strangers to the written word of God,

                                            should not breed strangers to the structure of the living temples advancing within the will of God.

The educating of the youth should be expected to be one with faith and hope –

                                                                                                        in awareness of the unity of The Living God;

                                            should be expected to be familiar with the keys of the Kingdom –

                                                                                                        and the calling of The Lord;

                                            should be expected to be familiar with the gifts of The Counsellor –

                                                                                                        as The Holy Spirit to both guide and teach;

                                            should be expected to be dwellers in the living temples –

                                                                                                        with the senses firmly fixed on the grace-filled pathway home.

The educating of the youth is to ensure familiarity when within the sanctuaries of God or the gatherings of the saints.”
