The Scissors of The Lord (19.5.15)

“The scissors of The Lord are there to cut and prune,

                                           are there to nip and tuck,

                                           are there to style and tidy.

The scissors of The Lord are very sharp and serviced,

                                         are very accurate and precise,

                                         are very attuned to the perspectives of God.

The scissors of The Lord are wielded by the honest and the trustworthy.

         The scimitars of God are wielded by the accurate and the resolute.

         The sword of The Spirit is swung when necks are low,

                                                 is swung when necks are high,

                                                 is swung when the ears of man stand in need of the word of God.

The scissors of The Lord are well-oiled and true-to-cut,

                                         move deftly without delay when beckoned to a site,

                                         leave the new growth in place while the withered leaves do fall.

The scissors of The Lord are the purgers and the trimmers,

                                               the thinners and the selectors,

                                               the separators and the encouragers.

The scissors of The Lord report on well-formed bunches,

                                         inspect for ripeness and the presence of disease,

                                         attend to the shearing of the crop when ready in the season of the ripeness.

The scissors of The Lord dance nimbly in control,

                                         see the harvest grow,

                                         hear of the results of harvesting in the days of celebration,

                                                                                             in the joyousness of satisfaction,

                                                                                             in the completion of the effort with the miracles in place.

The scissors of The Lord are both meshed and honed,

                                         are strong and can withstand,

                                         are separators of the withered from the faith within the promise of the Father.*

The scissors of The Lord dispense with those who do not fulfil their tasks,

                                         dispense with those who will not listen,

                                         dispense with those no-longer-willing,

                                         dispense with those seen as idle in playing with the non-committed.

The scissors of The Lord neither wreck nor wrestle,

                                         neither damage nor demean,

                                         neither seize nor scatter.

The scissors of The Lord neither mash nor mangle,

                                         neither chase nor chasten,

                                         neither rubbish nor rebuke.

The scissors of The Lord trigger and modify,

                                         stand back to examine,

                                         stand close up for the finer details.

The scissors of The Lord are the bearers of fulfilment,

                                         are the bearers of unloading,

                                         are the bearers of the introducing of a new beginning.

The scissors of The Lord are the preparers for the onset of new growth within its season.

The scissors of The Lord neither snap at rocks nor clods of earth,

                                         neither snap at the inflexible nor the sturdy,

                                         neither snap at shadows nor impostors.

The scissors of The Lord attend the posts of enterprise,

                                         attend the excising of the lies,

                                         attend the call when truth is likely to be compromised.

The scissors of The Lord have measured and are resolute,

                                         stand so not to fall,

                                         straighten so not to crouch,

                                         cut so not to miss the mark,

                                         sever so both pieces are to hold their worth.

The scissors of The Lord are the interpreters of the intent of God.

The scissors of The Lord are charged to know the way to God.

The scissors of The Lord are precise in all they are called to glean and do.
