The Ups and Downs of Life (24.5.15)

“The ups and downs within contentment are spread along the lifeline of man,

                                                                  are spread along the line of grace,

                                                                  are spread along the overtures of love, 

                                                                                                                   of assessment,

                                                                                                                   of training,

                                                                                                                   of dominion,

                                                                                                                   of teaching,

                                                                                                                   of overcoming.

The ups and downs of life exceed the seesaws built for play.

The ups and downs of life are evened out in memory.

The ups and downs of life are evened out as the mounds patch up the potholes,

                                                                   as the stumbling blocks fill the crevices,

                                                                   as the rises fill in the muddy puddles of unknown depth.

The ups and downs of life occur as experience is gained,

                                                     as belief systems are established,

                                                     as the recurrences become minimal.

The ups and downs of life circulate quite unexpectedly,

                                           can exhilarate or defeat,

                                           can encourage or dismay,

                                           can enlist or disable.

The ups and downs of life can follow as a wafting of the incense of a day in summer,

                                           can follow as a trail of onions in bringing tears upon the eyes.

The ups and downs of life are measured as the high points and the depressions painted by the footsteps on a journey.

The ups and downs of life circumvent the crags and precipices,

                                           circumvent the steeper slopes and glaciers,

                                           circumvent the aerial and the subterranean.

The ups and downs of life see mixed the worthwhile and the worthless,

                                           see mixed the good and the bad,

                                           see mixed the valuable and the wasteful.

The ups and downs of life should be separated and marked for discard when wisdom is established.

The ups and downs of life should not be permitted to impact on a life of commitment,

                                           should have the shock absorbers placed and active,

                                           should recognize the lee side of protection,

                                                                       the lee side of attraction,

                                                                       the lee side suitable for the weathering of a storm.

The ups and downs of life are as surges and retreats as inherent in the billowing of the seas.

The ups and downs of life can hinge upon the spiritual,

                                           can manifest in the physical,

                                           can bring elation or destruction with the mood swing of the moment.

The ups and downs of life can validate or dismiss,

                                           can furnish or withdraw,

                                           can confirm or deny,

                                           can affirm or decry,

                                           can uplift or drag down,

                                           can assimilate or reject.

The ups and downs of life can be occasioned by new life,

                                           can be present in a life of full maturity,

                                           can be symptoms when all is not quite as it should be.

The ups and downs of life can be dependent on a habit,

                                           can be sought within addiction,

                                           can be obliterated for a time with the lapsing of the memory.

The ups and downs of life can be as a trip upon a roller coaster,

                                                      as fun rides in a high rise lift within a building,

                                                      as the jumping when on a pogo stick of childhood,

                                                      as the floating on the sea in relaxation,

                                                      as a journey down the rapids of a river with caution blinkered only partially.

The ups and downs of life can be smoothed out when preferred,

                                           can be swopped out and exchanged,

                                           can be treated and disarmed,

                                           can be overcome as for intent and replenished with the fullness of a vision.

The ups and downs of life need not be a process of correction of the violent swings,

                                           need not be the source of dread,

                                           need not be without an understanding,

                                           need not be suffered and prolonged,

                                           need not be ignored and so allowed to magnify,

                                           need not lead to subjugation of the mindset of life’s enjoyment.

The ups and downs of life can be bound and broken,

                                           can be forbidden and vanquished,

                                           can be replaced with blessings of healing and a fresh goal in life.

The ups and downs of life can be partitioned and despatched,

                                           can have the fences mended round a dwelling as if a moat around a temple,

                                           can have protection sustained from whom relief has been sought and installed.

The ups and downs of life are the charlatans of immunity,

                                           are the charlatans who come and go without authority,

                                           are the charlatans who can invade and stay,

                                           are the charlatans who mix and match,

                                                                        who plan for an attack,

                                                                        who leave the distraught suffering either in over-confidence or alone in misery.

The ups and downs of life can be farewelled and overwritten when The Spirit of God is welcomed on the scene,

                                                                             is invited to take the battle to the dark figurehead chasing souls,

                                                                             is invited to man the ramparts of infection,

                                                                             is invited to cleanse and free a dwelling fit for a spirit and a soul,

                                                                             is invited in the name of Jesus The Christ as the name above all names –

                                                            the architect-in-chief making practical the adoption of man into the family of God.

The ups and downs of life are curses of attachment flowing from the earlier generations and not dealt with as they should have been,

                                           have manifested in instability of the consciousness of man,

                                           are intent on maintaining the determinants of the destiny of default.

The ups and downs of life should be bound and banished,

                                           should be replaced by having the blessings of God loosed and welcomed,

                                           should be vanquished from a life now witnessing to the Sonlight of achievement –

                              in the presence of The Living Loving God with His destiny of choice reserved unto His Bride.”
