The Song of The Lord

“I,

   the Lord,

         will take the land from those who would destroy it.

I,

   the Lord,

         will rest upon the land that is bequeathed.

I,

   the Lord,

         will protect the land from those who would so conquer.

I,

   the Lord,

         will uphold those who dwell in the city of the great God.

Come now,

         with rejoicing,

                as you enter the gates with praise.

Come now,

         with dancing and with singing,

                into the temple courts.

Come now,

         with thanksgiving,

                as the Lord Your God so calls.

For the people of the Lord shall be blessed, 

For the people of the Lord shall be free,

For the people of the Lord shall be called,

For the people of the Lord shall be saved.

Enter with joy into the walled city of the great God.

Enter with love into the streets once seared by the tears of the living Lord.     

Enter with sorrow into the citadels of the city that now blaspheme.

Witness to each nation of this consecrated land.

Witness to each land of this dedicated city.

Witness to each city of this glory of the Lamb.

Witness to each lamb of this offering of the Lord.”
