The Divine Commentary on The Book of Revelation - Ch 16 (1.2.11)

Rev 16:1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth."

Divine Commentary –

“Then John hears the voice of God speaking from within His throne room as He instructs the seven semblances of The Holy Spirit to so distribute the portions of His wrath upon the earth.”

Rev 16:2 So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.

Divine Commentary –

“So the first portion of His wrath is emptied over the earth,

          aimed at those whose spirit is not a friend of God,

                                   whose soul joins fraternities in the possessive quest for wealth.”

Rev 16:3 Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.

Divine Commentary –

“Then the second semblance of The Holy Spirit pours His portion of the wrath of God on the sea;

          so it becomes the black blood of the dead,

                                 the black gold of the dead,

                                 the black coagulating mass that spews out death to every living sea creature by whom it is enveloped.”

Rev 16:4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.

Divine Commentary –

“As the third presence of The Holy Spirit  pours out the portion within His bowl,

          so the wrath of God falls on the freshwater resources of the earth.

                    So the freshwaters are contaminated with the residues of the earth.

                    So the freshwaters are unclean,

                     so the freshwaters are undrinkable,

                     so the freshwaters contract,

                     so the freshwaters no longer are sufficient as when in the time of blessing.

          So the wrath of God falls on the blasphemers of the heavens,

                                                        the plunderers of the earth.”

Rev 16:5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things.

Divine Commentary –

“And John heard correctly;

          as this semblance of The Holy Spirit proclaims the God of righteousness,

                    He who came,

                          who is,

                          who is soon to come again,

                                                when He is the judge of all upon the earth.”

Rev 16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due."

Divine Commentary –

“For as the martyrs and the prophets are killed so they are avenged by God.

          When the blood is shed,

                    so the blood is shed.

          As they so mete out,

                    so they will receive.

          For grace does not abound for those who choose to live by law.”

Rev 16:7 And I heard another from the altar saying, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."

Divine Commentary –

“And another voice is heard from the altar in the throne room,

          declaiming that even as The Lord wields the sword of vengeance,

                    so His judgements still hold truth and righteousness to the fore.”

Rev 16:8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.

Divine Commentary –

“So the fourth envoy from the altar pours out his portion of the wrath of God –

          on the source of great heat.

                    So is he given the authority,

                                       with the power,

                                to direct the great heat to the scorching of men.

                    Foolish are women who may think they are excluded.

                    Foolish are the parents who know,

                                                   yet raise ungodly children.

                                                         Foolish is the mouth which remains silent when it is the time to speak.

                                                         Wise is the mouth which knows the time for silence.”

Rev 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Divine Commentary –

“So these men receive the scorching they deserve,

  so they still blaspheme the name of God,

                        The One with power over these plagues,

  so still they do not repent nor hold the fear of God.”

Rev 16:10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.

Divine Commentary –

“Then the fifth image of The Holy Spirit empties His portion within the bowl of the wrath of God.

          Pours it out on the divided throne of Satan,

                              on Satan’s centres of activity,

                              on the cities full of darkness,

                              on the cities where the men of anarchy reap the wages of their sins.

                                              There,

                                                     the men of anarchy writhe in agony on the earth:

                                                                   as their tongues are gnawed in the depth of their pain.”

Rev 16:11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

Divine Commentary –

“So the men of anarchy blaspheme the God which respects the agency of man,

                                                                       which holds them accountable for their deeds,

                                                                                                                                   their actions,

                                                                                                                                   their exercise of their freewill.

So their pains and their loathsome sores are suffered to excruciation within the finality of the wrath of God.

          For they do not repent,

                        do not turn from the ways of the lost,

                        do not acquire a temple,

                  still cherish the image of the beast.”

Rev 16:12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

Divine Commentary –

“So the kings of the east come to walk across a river;

                                  as the river suffers theft –

                                                     so its life-blood is stolen;

                                  as its life-blood is spread in the wastelands of the desert –

                                                     so the river dies;

                                                     so the river is no longer in need of an open mouth.

                                                     So the river shuts its mouth and cannot feed the people.”

Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Divine Commentary –

“So the satanic alliances are formed,

  so the lies are formulated,

  so pride goes before as the flagship of the folly,

  so fortunes reverse as pride is again trampled in the dust of shame.”

Rev 16:14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Divine Commentary –

“So the kings are enticed,

  so the kings are courted,

  so the kings succumb,

  so the battle is enthroned.

As in My book –

‘As it is written so it is foretold.

  As it is written so that great day approaches.

  As it is written the kings are about to be gathered.’

As I continue here –

So the kings believe the lie of the satanic generals:

                      they are to carry the day of victory by their force of arms.

So are they and their men slaughtered in their tens of thousands;

                      so do their muscles twitch as their mouths fail to speak.”

Rev 16:15 "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame."

Divine Commentary –

“So the blesséd is forewarned,

  so the blesséd is forearmed,

  so the blesséd is prepared.”

Rev 16:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.

Divine Commentary –

“So the blesséd are gathered as the echelons of God:

                                               before the kings who kneel within the court of Satan.

                                                         So is no grave dug for;

                                                          so are the vultures well fed by;

                                                                           those who dare to stand before the echelons of God.”

Rev 16:17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done!"

Divine Commentary –

“Then the seventh functionary of The Holy Spirit pours out His portion into the air.

         The voice of God is heard clearly from within His throne room,

                   saying,

                         ‘It is done.

                          It is complete.

                          As the bowls are empty:

                                    so is My wrath dispersed upon the earth.

                                   So is My wrath dispensed according to My will,

                                                                                  according to My judgements,

                                                                                  according to the absence of repentance.’

         So the wrath of God,

                   issues in its completeness,

                          receives the thunder-roll of heaven,

                                   with the loudest of the voices announcing the great ‘Amen’.”

Rev 16:18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.

Divine Commentary –

“So these plagues of God are so marked upon the earth.

         Let those of little faith ignore this at their peril,

         for the wise do take precautions;

                   while the mercy seat is active:

                                                     available to man.

So the effect of the portion of the seventh functionary of The Holy Spirit continues,

         until abatement,

                   in accordance with the prescribing will of God.”

Rev 16:19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

Divine Commentary –

“So the populace of evil is divided into three by the great earthquake:

                                                                              the city of the north,

                                                                              the city of the west,

                                                                              the city of the south;

                                                         whilst the cities of the nations fall by the great earthquake.

So the populace of evil is remembered before God.

So the populace of evil is also forced to suffer the adverse effects of the fierceness of His wrath.”

Rev 16:20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Divine Commentary –

“So every centre of support for the populace of evil vanishes in the night;

       every stronghold,

       every bastion,

       every citadel is no longer found upon the earth.”

Rev 16:21 And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.

Divine Commentary –

“And great hail falls at the behest of God upon men.

            Each hailstone is about the weight of a talent –

                                                            that which is barely lifted by the arms of man.

            Men curse God because of the plaque of hail,

                          as that plague is extremely great in its devastation of all which is esteemed by man.

As the curtain of the great hail falls,

                                                     so the wrath of God enacts upon the earth.”
