The Divine Commentary on The Book of Revelation - Ch 22 (25.2.11)

Rev 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Divine Commentary –

“Then the semblance of The Holy Spirit shows John a pure river of eternal life,

              composed of the saints of God –

                                    those who carry their salvation –

                                              flowing as a pathway of enlightenment;

                                                           from the very throne room of God:

                                    to fall as the rain from heaven for the awakening of the nations of the earth.”

Rev 22:2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Divine Commentary –

“So John records the presence of the tree of life,

                                                                    established in the centre of the street of gold,

                                                                    established to the left and to the right of the river.

            So the tree of life is at home among the saints of God;

                                        is at home among the activities of the saints as they come and go;

                                        is at home,

                                                          in close proximity,

                                                          to the peoples of the nations on the banks who would partake of the living water,

                                                                                        as they seek without the wading of the river.

John sees the tree of life bearing twelve fruits,

                                       with each tree yielding its fruit every month throughout the year;

                                                                   without a time of barrenness,

                                                                   without a time of waiting,

                                                                   without a time of returning empty handed.

The leaves of the tree are numerous and obvious,

                                    are for the laying on the wounds,

                                    are for the relieving of the pain,

                                    are for dealing with demonic invasions,

                                    are for the uplifting of the despondent,

                                    are for the restoring of the sick,

                                                                         of the incapacitated,

                                                                         of those deemed in need of the surgery of man.

The leaves of the tree of life are the holy hands of the saints of God,

                                                    raised and lowered in His will,

                                                    shaking and aquiver with the fire of The Spirit,

                                                    nurtured and strengthened by faith in agreement with two hearts.”

Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

Divine Commentary –

“So the curse ends as the devil is enchained,

  so the throne of God and of the Lamb is found in the midst of the saints –

                                                                                                               the new Jerusalem –

                                                                        whence His servants do serve Him.”

Rev 22:4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.

Divine Commentary –

“His servants see His face,

  His name is seen upon their foreheads.”

Rev 22:5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Divine Commentary –

“Night is not there:

                           yet lighting,

                 whether of man or of the sun,

                           is not required;

           for The Lord God gives them light.

So it is:

           the throne of God and of the Lamb with the saints of God reign for ever and ever.”

Rev 22:6 Then he said to me, "These words are faithful and true." And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.

Divine Commentary –

“So do these words,

                        which His servants record,

                                                  stand with the integrity of God.

  So do these things,

                        which His servants are shown,

                                                  stand with the testimony of God.”

Rev 22:7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

Divine Commentary –

“So God speaks directly with His comfort,

                                        as His coming will be fast and not drawn out,

                                        as blessings are pronounced upon all who keep close to their heart the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Rev 22:8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

Divine Commentary –

“So John recalls his actions when he heard and saw these things of which he speaks.”

Rev 22:9 Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

Divine Commentary –

“So John receives rebuke for his misplaced homage to the semblance of The Holy Spirit.”

Rev 22:10 And he said to me, "Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.

Divine Commentary –

“Then the semblance of The Holy Spirit tells John not to seal the words he has received as the time is nigh.”

Rev 22:11 "He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still."

Divine Commentary –

“So the life of man is to continue according to the expression of his freewill.”

Rev 22:12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

Divine Commentary –

“So God is fully prepared for His meetings with man.

  So man meets God at the appointed time of God,

                                                                       whether he is ready,

                                                                       or whether he is not.”

Rev 22:13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."

Divine Commentary –

“When order is important,

                               so His position is unchanged,

                               so His position is retained,

                               so His position is maintained.”

Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Divine Commentary –

“The asking of God,

  the calling of God,

  the counselling of God are as commandments to those who love Him,

                                             are as tablets on a table,

                                             are as memories which do not fade.

Beware the letterbox with the mail unread,

                                   with the mail un-actioned,

                                   with the mail crumpled from a hand into the rubbish tin,

                                                                                                               into the trash can,

                                                                                                                        as it serves a life.

              So the blessings fall from grace,

               so the rights fall to the dust,

               so the entrance falls with the key.

                                   Woe to man for his stupidity in the discarding of his rights to the tree of life.”

Rev 22:15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

Divine Commentary –

“Beware the letter box which does not accept the circular of the day,

                                     which does not want a love note from The Lord,

                                     which is closed to the hand of The Lord.

For the letterboxes of discrimination are as snails within their homes

                                     where visitors are unwelcome,

                                                             are unread,

                                                             are unexamined for their content;

                                                             are as snails retracted and sealed up for the darkness of a life-long winter,

                                                                                                                 ready to be crushed.”

Rev 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star."

Divine Commentary –

“I,

     Jesus,

            sent My Spirit to testify of these things as written in the time of John.

I,

     Jesus,

            send My Spirit to testify of these things as written hereinbefore,

                                                    to all with access to these words,

                                                    to all on whom My Spirit falls in power,

                                                                                                          with signs following.

So I,

     Jesus,

            hold My birthright of inheritance,

                    the birthright of My mantle,

                    the birthright of My creation.”

Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

Divine Commentary –

“The Holy Spirit and the bride both call;

                                         let him who hears so call;

                                         let him who thirsts so answer;

                                         let him who wants so take freely of the water of life –

                                                                                                   of his salvation unto redemption –

                                                    so he may know the slaking of his thirst.”

Rev 22:18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;

Divine Commentary –

“So John brings his testimony to the fore with a caution born of God,

                                                                   with a warning born of the propensity for the addition,

                                                                                               of the plagues herein,

                                                                                        to a life which lives without the fear of God.”

Rev 22:19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Divine Commentary –

“So misquoting is the sibling of misinterpretation;

                  these are the children of omission and of deletion.

So the act of the child leads to the act of the parent.

So the act of the parent calls a promise to the fore.

So by the measure of the parent will the one receive like measure,

                                                    will the one receive deletion from the Book of Life,

                                                                            receive deletion from the saints of God,

                                                                            receive deletion from all which was written to his benefit within this book of God.”

Rev 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Divine Commentary –

“So Jesus testifies,

  so Jesus reiterates in closing as He affirms the suddenness with which He comes.

So John gives voice to the Amen of agreement –

                                                      with all which is so stated,

                                                      with all which is so spoken,

                                                      with all which is described.”

Rev 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Divine Commentary –

“So the benediction of the Lord blesses the closing of John’s vision on the Isle of Patmos:

                        for the guarding,

                              the warning,

                              the preparation,

                              the settling,

                                  of the saints of God;

                                               as they dwell within the nations of the earth;

                                               as they grow together with those who also come to view this message of My call within this book.”
