The Fairies of The Earth (19.11.10)

“The fairies of the Earth come and go at will.

The fairies of the Earth dwell within the heavens,

                                      cascade in their flights,

                                      rarely travel when alone.

The fairies of the Earth are harmless to man,

are mischievous in nature where mostly they are found.

The fairies of the Earth do not seek individuality,

                                      do not seek adulation,

                                      do not seek recognition.

The fairies of the Earth are the transients of the heavens,

                                      are examples of contentment,

                                      are not known for exploration.

The fairies of the Earth are decorative in appearance,

                                      are friendly when addressed,

have extensive wardrobes open to selection.

The fairies of the Earth often carry lights,

                                      often like to dance,

often like to frolic in the air.

The fairies of the Earth rarely offer assistance of any value,

                                      collect what meets their fancy,

like to decorate with bits and pieces which they have found within their travels.

The fairies of the Earth are very good at sharing –

at what belongs to them –

                                                                     at what belongs to others.

The fairies of the Earth are the misplacers of the Earth,

renowned for misplacing what others still had an intent to use,

                                                                           still had an attraction to,

                                                                           still had not discarded:

                                                                               when it was acquired to share;

                                                                               when it was carefully placed;

when it was seen as an item with appeal to the senses of the fairies.

The fairies of the Earth can cause a lot of searching from those who know them well,

rarely replace the articles subject to their sharing,

place no value on their acquisitiveness,

place no value on their dispositions.

The fairies of the Earth have little ability to recall where each was placed with care when interest ran high,

have no interest in their recovery,

                                                          could not lead a search,

could not give directions when requested.

The fairies of the Earth sometimes have a welcome mat worn thin,

                                      can outstay their welcome,

can be subject to a visual check when sharing is suspected.

The fairies of the Earth have lovely smiles which resemble the freshness after rain,

have laughter in tune with a tinkling brook,

have the touch of satin with pleating to the fore.

The fairies of the Earth are not an imposition,

are not a reason for a scowl,

are not the objects of retribution,

are not seen as a threat for action.

The fairies of the Earth are the subjects of much love,

                                      are always welcomed on arrival,

bring curiosity and interest with their flights through the mornings’ bejewelled cobwebs –

which they always do with grace.”
